“Butterflies of Sri Lanka”
is a unique collection of color photographs compiled and
researched over a four year period. This remarkable portfolio
provides a record of over one hundred and sixty species
of butterflies photographed in their natural state. The
authors have gone to extraordinary lengths to present the
butterflies in their natural form, consciously not having
netted, caught or harmed them in anyway during their quest.
The photographs are of exceptionally high quality and have
been taken with an intrinsic flair and artistic touch, not
only providing a unique insight into the remarkable world
in which these “winged wonders” live, but also
capturing them from many different angles in order to facilitate
their identification. |
